New Clients

Dr. Lanz is a veterinarian licensed in Kentucky and sees patients in her office and is happy to do house calls within a certain region of Metro Louisville. Currently, house calls are not available to Indiana. A referral is not necessary from your primary care veterinarian but Dr. Lanz is always glad to consult with your veterinarian at any time.

There is a house call fee for travel to your home, office or referring veterinarian’s office. It is understood that some patients do not travel well or have physical limitations that prevent travel to the office and a house call can be discussed. Please call or email Dr. Lanz for prices.

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) is very individualized to the patient. The disease or “Western” diagnosis is important, but your pet is treated as an individual with that imbalance rather than just treating the disease. You will be asked many questions about your pet’s lifestyle, appetite, likes and dislikes, etc to help determine the TCVM diagnosis. A comprehensive physical examination will also be performed. The first visit may be 1 – 1 1/2 hours depending on the complexity of your pet’s medical issues. The findings of the examination will be discussed with you and a treatment plan determined. This may include acupuncture, laser therapy, medical manipulation, diet adjustments, supplements or herbal medicines.

Follow up visit frequency is based on your pet’s individual need. Expect 30-45 minutes for these sessions.

PLEASE NOTE: If you need to change or cancel your appointment PLEASE give 24-hour notice. If appointments are forgotten or canceled less than 24 hours in advance, a missed appointment fee will be charged. A 24-hour notice allows me to accommodate those clients and their pets on my waiting list.

Please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Lanz with any questions you may have.

Before your first appointment, please print and complete the New Client Forms. You may scan them and return as an email attachment to lanzkj2202@gmail.com, or bring them with you to the first appointment. This will save time and give me the full appointment time to spend with your pet.
